Dems and Independents doing something awesome:

AOC - she’s standing up to the Dems who voted along with the Republicans to pass the Continuing Resolution. Many in the political arena are saying she should primary Schumer in 2029 - but will all this be on voters’ minds then? Will we be voting on anything? Regardless - she’s brave and turning a lot of heads as anew leader for the party - if you agree with that, she’d be a good one to send words of encouragement!

Bernie Sanders - he’s still out on a rally tour trying to save the Democratic party - he’s calling for a younger, fresher leadership - click for link - Bernie Sanders calls for ‘major’ change to Democratic Party amid Schumer conflict - and at this point AT LEAST he’s doing something - I don’t know what has happened to our leaders - they seem to be waiting for someone else to rage - maybe it’s going to have to be us?

Senator Chris Van Hollen of Maryland was quoted saying “We are going to shut down the illegal Musk-DOGE operation, we are going to put everybody back to work” and so far we’ve seen a judge say that the National Park Service must reinstate all fired employees. Making noise works. We have to continue to raise our voices.

Republicans who need QUICK CORRECTION:

Let’s talk about the ‘Border Czar’ Tom Holman for a moment - he said, when asked by a reporter about the Circuit Judge ruling against the deportation flights that happened yesterday - and I quote "Another flight every day... We are not stopping. I don't care what the judges think. I don't care what the left thinks. We are coming."

This FLIES in the face of The Rule of Law and the branches of government. Deported without due process. This administration has made plenty of mistakes so far - who’s to say they have the right ‘gang members’ on that flight? Keep your eye on this story - Holman in handcuffs has a nice ring to it.

USDA cancels $1B in local food purchasing for schools and local food banks.

This is something I think we should start contacting our local officials - make sure they know that we want our schools to serve LOCALLY SOURCED, FRESH FOOD - helping the local farms and purveyors along with the best quality food for our kids.
